About Us

Regenerating Land, Rebuilding Lives, One Community at a Time

We believe food should nourish, not harm. Tourism should uplift, not exploit. And businesses should empower, not extract.

Our Story

Joseph, a founder of Jomana, was born in war-torn Sierra Leone, where the greed for power and control of our natural resources, particularly diamonds, led to a decade-long civil war. The country’s top 1% kept the nation’s wealth to themselves, fueling inequality, corruption, and destruction. Lives were lost. Futures were stolen. And entire communities were left behind.

In 2010, Joseph came to the United States as an exchange student. Here, he saw another form of greed, corporate greed, where multi-billion-dollar fast-food companies spend over $11 billion annually on advertising, according to a CDC report in 2022. They pour money into lobbying elected officials to block policy changes that could expand access to healthy food (CSPI, 2021).

Jomana exists to create a truly customer-centered community. The company intends to help. provide a healthy, affordable, and efficient option to all people and stores. Joemana was born out of these two realities, to heal people and land by regenerating lives, one community at a time.
